I've used Rescue Plumbers service over 10 years, Joe is very knowledgeable, professional & has very good work ethics. On 11 - 19 Nov. Joe repair my toilet, installed water pressure regulator & re-installed my sprinkler valves due to water leak, they did a fantastic job. Thanks to Joe & his team...
Joe is very knowledge and extremely professional at the job, Keeps me informed of what he is doing and is timely in his arrival. Rescue Plumbers are extremely lucky to have him.,
This guys are awesome and easy to work with. They have fair prices, they do offer financing for the unexpected big expenses. Show up on time. Have all the equipment required to do the job. That's a big one for me. Hate it when I hear. I will be back because they never come back. This guys are ready
The service technician Joe is amazing. He was very professional, informative and effective. Thank you Joe for all your help!
Arrives well dressed, professional , very knowledgeable, gives you all your options, cleans up the area, his work is meticulous . Honest plumber! We have called on them a handful of times since we bought our home 5 years ago. Office staff, Michelle, is sincere and always cheerful. Thank you Rescue Plumbers.
My hot water heater went out two years ago and I had a shoulder replacement although I could put a new one in myself with my shoulder being an issue now again, my garbage disposal went out and I just had back surgery. They were quick to respond and replaced my garbage disposal. I highly recommend these people for doing plumbing work.
Fair price, quick response and friendly service. Joe was great!
Rescue Plumbers did and awesome job today! They installed our water flow regulator. Joe is very thorough with his work, professional, and really wants the customer to be happy. Michelle, in the office, is always happy and gets right on what needs to be done to make sure the work gets done quickly. I highly recommend this company. I have used them several times. 🙂
Outstanding Service and Professionalism! Thank you Michelle and Victor, I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received from Joseph at Rescue Plumbers. From the moment I called, their team was friendly, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. Joseph arrived on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, and explained everything clearly before getting started. The work was done efficiently and to a very high standard — no shortcuts, no mess left behind. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and reliable plumber, I highly recommend Rescue Plumbers I’ll definitely be calling them again for any future plumbing needs!
I would definitely recommend Rescue Plumbers Inc. Joseph did a great job! He came out yesterday gave me a quote for a new hot water heater, and the install was the next day. They went above and beyond. He even explain how to operate and flush the hot water heater. There is now a shut off of valve to turn the water off right at the hot water heater, earthquake straps and a collection pan underneath. That way the water will not go into my home if there's a problem with the hot water heater it will just drain out into the cement floor of the garage. Totally happy with job that was done and don't feel as though I was taken advantage of.
Rescue Plumbing are amazing, honest professionals, Excellent customer service and excellent prices. I highly recommend them. They are the best in the High Desert.

The total charge was very reasonable and one great thing is that unlike other companies that I dealt with in the past, they did not charge me for their travel time and their time assesing the problem. I would highly recommend them to anybody needing plumbing works.

We have had them do several jobs in our house and our son’s house. They have installed a hot water heater, three low flow toilets, replaced shower and sink appliances and have repaired a water leak in the wall. Professional, polite and respond when called. Well worth the call and the service is excellent.
Everyone who works at this company is friendly and knowledgeable. They are dressed professionally and give you good advice. They’ve serviced us for years and we will continue to have them service us. Hopefully, the next time we see the young men, Ethan and Evan t will have gray hair. Meaning they won’t have to come for a while! They all work on our son’s house as well and because his is older and home they’re gonna have to do a complete redo of his plumbing.
These guys really came to the rescue! Our water heater busted and rescue plumbers did an amazing job. Very professional, nice guys too.

I am a senior and have had many service companies come to my home to give a quote for what ever we called for, only to exaggerate the problem or flat out lie. Rescue plumbers sent Joe to our home for a plumbing problem and we immediately were impressed with his knowledge and in-site into our concern. He gave us all the possible solutions with the reason why. No high pressure sale, no lies, just the facts and reasonable solutions. Rescue Plumbing is diamond in the rough. Rescue Plumbers recently repaired a water main failure at our location, and their service was outstanding. They responded quickly, diagnosed the problem efficiently, and proposed a clear repair plan. True to their word, they followed through on every detail. A testament to their work ethic is their exceptional clean-up. For example, they didn't just sweep our parking lot; they power washed it, ensuring everything was restored to its original condition before the pipe broke. Once again, Rescue Plumbers exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Victor, Michelle, Ethan, Evan, and Joe. We appreciate you.
Excellent service, as always. We have been using Rescue Plumbers for 11yrs, as needed, and have always been happy with their service. Quick, reliable and fairly priced.
Backstory of our issue is needed to explain the gratitude I have for this company. We had 2 leaks in our home that were misdiagnosed by professionals, that would have costs us thousands to repair. Rescue plumbers came and diagnosed the problem almost immediately and fixed the issue the following day with thousands of dollars saved. Integrity is very and to find, especially when companies are trained to take advantage of their customers inexperience. I want to thank Rescue Plumbers for helping us and actually resolving the issue. I recommend this company as a first choice not a last resort to get the job done efficiently.
Toilet repair could not have been more quick and efficient, from the very friendly receptionist to the same day repair. Joe, the repairman, knows what he's doing and does it fast, but professionally. He arrived at the very start of the arrival window. You can tell he knows what he's doing and he gives fair estimates. Very satisfied with my Rescue Plumbers experience. - Don Thomas, Victorville

My main water service line coming to my home was leaking, and of the three companies I called, they were the most responsive and quickest to respond and deal with the issue. They were a reference from Hesperia Chamber, and I was quite happy with the results. Thanks again!
Michelle was amazing on the phone with great customer service!! I called late Saturday and she said she could have someone there first thing Monday morning. I scheduled the appointment for Friday because I couldn’t be home due to work and actually stayed home Monday and she was able to reschedule and send a service technician over the same day!! Joesph came over and was very helpful and easy to work with. We agreed on what needed to be done and he got it done. He cleaned everything up and told us about the warranty and then headed out!! Amazing service!! Thank you!!

SINCERELY, A REAL CUSTOMER, NOT A FAMILY MEMBER.
I emailed them for a quote, Joe came out to my house within the hour. I had a leaking copper pipe, he fixed it in under an hour, also he replaced the water regulator. All in all, fast service, Joe was reliable and honest. The price wasn’t too bad, I had to get these things fixed so I was willing to pay what it took. I would use their service again in a heartbeat.

Home Addition Plumbing Service
Planning a home addition requires a strategic approach to plumbing that accounts for both the new demands and the limitations of the existing system. Our technicians start by performing a thorough evaluation of your main sewer line and water meter capacity to see if they can handle the extra fixtures. If the existing main is too small, we provide honest recommendations for upgrades that prevent future backups and pressure drops throughout the house. We map out the most efficient routes for new drain, waste, and vent (DWV) lines to minimize the impact on your current structure. Our team uses high-quality materials like PEX for supply lines and durable PVC for drainage to ensure decades of reliable service. We pay close attention to the slope of new horizontal waste lines to guarantee consistent gravity-fed flow. Every joint is solvent-welded or crimped to professional standards to prevent hidden leaks behind new walls. We take pride in creating a plumbing layout that is as organized as it is functional.
Trenching through an existing slab or foundation is often necessary to connect a new bathroom or kitchen to the main waste system. We use specialized equipment to cut and remove concrete precisely, minimizing dust and structural vibration in your living areas. Our team ensures that the new underground pipes are bedded in sand or fine soil to prevent damage from rocky Desert ground. We also install necessary cleanouts at the transition points to make future maintenance easier for you. Once the pipes are in place, we coordinate the backfill and concrete patching to prepare the floor for your new finishes. This stage is critical for ensuring the stability of your new addition’s foundation and plumbing. We work efficiently to keep your project moving forward according to your contractor’s schedule.
The “rough-in” phase involves installing all the pipes and valves inside the new wall framing before the drywall goes up. We secure all pipes with heavy-duty hangers to prevent “water hammer” and annoying vibrations when fixtures are in use. Our technicians install the shower valves, toilet flanges, and sink stubs at the exact heights and locations specified in your floor plan. We also verify that all new lines are properly vented to the outside to prevent sewer gases from entering your home. This process includes a mandatory pressure test on both the water and drainage systems to ensure 100% integrity. We want to catch and resolve any potential issues while the walls are still open and accessible. Our commitment to quality workmanship at this stage prevents expensive repairs after your addition is finished.
Connecting the new plumbing to your existing water heater can sometimes reveal that your current unit is undersized for the added demand. We evaluate your hot water needs and can recommend high-capacity tanks or tankless upgrades to ensure everyone in the house has plenty of hot water. If the addition is located far from the original water heater, we can install a dedicated point-of-use unit or a recirculation pump. These solutions prevent the frustration of waiting several minutes for hot water to reach the new fixtures. We also ensure that the gas or electrical supply to your water heating system is sufficient for any upgrades. Our goal is to provide a comprehensive hot water solution that enhances the comfort of your entire home. Trust our expert team to balance your system perfectly for the new layout.
For additions that include a second story or a remote laundry room, proper drainage venting and overflow protection are paramount. We install specialized “auto-vents” or run traditional vent stacks through the roof to maintain the correct atmospheric pressure in your pipes. Our team also installs floor drains and emergency shut-off valves in areas where appliances like washing machines will be located. This proactive approach protects your new flooring and finishes from accidental water damage. We ensure that all second-story plumbing is properly insulated to reduce noise and prevent the sound of running water in the rooms below. Our technicians are experts at solving the unique hydraulic challenges of multi-level additions. We want your new space to be as quiet and secure as it is beautiful.
The “finish” phase is where we install the actual faucets, toilets, tubs, and sinks once the walls and floors are complete. We handle these delicate fixtures with extreme care to avoid scratching your new tile or stone surfaces. Our team ensures that every handle is aligned and every drain is sealed perfectly for a clean, professional appearance. We also calibrate the water temperature and pressure at each new fixture to meet your preferences. This is the final step in transforming a construction site into a functional part of your family home. We perform a final walk-through with you to demonstrate how everything works and answer any questions. Your total satisfaction with the beauty and performance of your new plumbing is our ultimate priority.

Most Common Home Addition Plumbing questions
Expanding a home involves complex structural and hydraulic changes that naturally lead to technical questions. We have provided detailed answers to the most frequent inquiries below to help you understand the plumbing requirements for your addition.
Whether your existing water heater can handle a new bathroom depends on its current capacity and the number of people in your household. A standard 40-gallon tank may struggle to keep up if you add a high-flow showerhead or a deep soaking tub. We calculate your family’s peak water usage to determine if the current unit will result in cold showers for the last person in line. If your heater is already more than eight years old, it may be more cost-effective to upgrade to a larger or more efficient model now. Our technicians provide honest feedback on your system’s capabilities during the initial project estimate. We want to ensure that your new addition provides the luxury and comfort you expect without compromising the rest of the house.
If an upgrade is necessary, a tankless water heater is often an excellent choice for home additions. These units provide an endless supply of hot water on demand, which is perfect for adding a guest suite or a large master bath. Because they are compact and wall-mounted, they can also save valuable space in your new floor plan. We can also discuss “point-of-use” water heaters if the new bathroom is located far away from the main house. These small units provide instant hot water to a specific sink or shower without the need for long pipe runs. Our team helps you evaluate the energy costs and performance benefits of each option. Trust Rescue Plumbers to provide the technical insight you need for a perfectly balanced hot water system.
Properly sizing your hot water supply prevents premature wear on your plumbing fixtures and appliances. If a water heater is constantly pushed to its limit, it can lead to sediment buildup and internal tank stress. By matching your heating capacity to your new home size, we protect your long-term investment. Our non-commission based team focuses on providing the most practical solution for your specific home layout. We take into account the unique water conditions in Phelan that can affect heater longevity. You can rely on our over 20 years of experience to guide you toward the right water heating solution. We are dedicated to providing five-star service and professional excellence for every home expansion project.
Connecting new waste lines involves identifying the most logical “tie-in” point on your existing main sewer stack. We use specialized cameras to inspect the condition of your current pipes to ensure they are structurally sound enough for a new connection. If the addition is on a slab, we must trench through the concrete to reach the main line at the correct depth. We maintain a specific slope, usually a quarter-inch per foot, to ensure waste moves efficiently away from the home. Our team uses “wye” fittings and long-sweep elbows to create smooth transitions that prevent future clogs. We also ensure that the new connection is properly sealed to prevent root intrusion and ground-water leaks. This technical process is essential for the long-term health of your home’s drainage system.
If the addition is located below the level of your main sewer line, we may need to install a sewage ejector pump. This system collects waste from the new fixtures and pumps it up to the main line for disposal. These pumps are highly reliable and are commonly used in basement additions or low-lying guest houses. Our technicians handle the specialized wiring and venting required for these pump systems to ensure safe operation. We provide clear instructions on how to maintain the pump and what items should never be flushed. Choosing the right connection method depends on your home’s unique topography and existing plumbing depth. We provide an honest assessment of the best path forward during our free, no-obligation estimate. Trust the Soto family to provide a secure and code-compliant sewer integration for your addition.
Properly venting the new sewer lines is just as important as the waste pipes themselves. Every fixture needs a vent to prevent a vacuum from forming, which could suck the water out of your traps and let sewer gases in. We run new vent stacks up through the roof or connect them to existing vents according to Phelan building codes. This ensures that your new bathroom or laundry room remains fresh and free of embarrassing odors. We also perform a mandatory water test on the new DWV system to prove it is 100% leak-free before the floor is poured or the walls are closed. Our commitment to thorough testing protects your new home addition from hidden water damage. Rescue Plumbers is your local partner for expert sewer engineering and professional plumbing integration.
You may need to upgrade your main water line if the total “fixture unit” count of your home exceeds the pipe’s capacity. Every sink, toilet, and shower adds a specific load to the water system that requires a certain volume of flow. If the main line is too small, you will notice a significant drop in pressure when multiple fixtures are used at once. For example, the shower pressure might plummet if someone starts the washing machine in the new addition. We perform a detailed calculation based on the distance from the meter and the number of new fixtures you are adding. If an upgrade is needed, we can replace the main line with a larger diameter pipe to restore full pressure. This ensures that your entire home functions perfectly even with the added square footage.
The material of your existing main line also plays a role in whether it should be replaced during a remodel. If your Phelan home still has old galvanized steel or thin-wall copper, it may be nearing the end of its life. These materials can corrode or develop mineral scale that restricts water flow over time. Replacing the main line during your addition project is a smart way to prevent future leaks and ensure clean water delivery. We use durable, high-density polyethylene or thick-wall copper for new main line installations. These materials are resistant to the unique soil conditions found in the High Desert and provide excellent longevity. Our team provides an honest assessment of your current line’s condition and performance. We want your home expansion to be supported by a reliable and modern water infrastructure.
Upgrading the main line also provides an opportunity to install a high-quality whole-house shut-off valve and pressure regulator. These components protect your new and existing plumbing from the high-pressure surges that can occur in municipal water systems. A pressure regulator ensures that your fixtures and appliances are not stressed by excessive force, extending their lifespan. We also install a main cleanout for your water system to make future maintenance or repairs much simpler. Our family-owned business prioritizes the long-term safety and functionality of your property. We offer clear, upfront pricing for all main line upgrades so you can make an informed decision for your project. Trust Rescue Plumbers to provide the professional credentials and technical skill your home deserves.
Yes, we specialize in relocating pipes and fixtures to fit the vision for your new home layout. Moving a bathroom or kitchen often involves rerouting main waste stacks and water supply headers through new wall and floor paths. This process requires a deep understanding of structural framing to ensure that we don’t compromise the integrity of your home. We work closely with your contractor to find the best routes for the new plumbing while maintaining required drainage slopes. Rerouting plumbing is a complex task that must be done correctly the first time to avoid future leaks behind finished walls. Our team uses specialized tools to accurately locate existing pipes and plan the most efficient new path. We take pride in our ability to solve the “plumbing puzzles” that come with major home renovations.
Relocating plumbing in a slab-on-grade home requires cutting and removing sections of concrete to access the underground pipes. We handle the excavation and the subsequent repair of the slab once the new plumbing is in place. For homes with a crawlspace or basement, the process is generally less invasive but still requires precise pipe fitting. We ensure that all moved lines are properly supported and insulated to meet modern building standards. This is also an ideal time to replace any old or corroded pipes that we encounter during the move. Our goal is to provide a fresh, reliable plumbing system that perfectly matches your new floor plan. We provide a detailed estimate for the labor and materials involved in any plumbing relocation project. Trust the Soto family to treat your home with care as we transform your living space.
Moving gas lines for a new kitchen layout or a relocated fireplace is another service we provide for home additions. Gas plumbing requires extreme precision and mandatory pressure testing to ensure the safety of your family. We use high-grade materials and follow strict safety protocols for all gas line modifications. Our technicians are fully licensed to handle both water and gas systems, providing a one-stop solution for your remodel. We ensure that all new gas connections are properly vented and that shut-off valves are easily accessible. Your family’s protection is our top priority during every stage of the plumbing and gas relocation. Rescue Plumbers is dedicated to providing five-star service and professional excellence for Phelan homeowners. Let us help you achieve the perfect home layout with expert plumbing relocation.
The plumbing for a home addition is usually divided into three distinct phases that occur at different times during construction. The “underground” phase, where we install pipes beneath the floor, typically takes two to four days. This includes the trenching, pipe laying, and mandatory inspections before the concrete is poured. The “rough-in” phase, where we run pipes through the new wall framing, takes another three to five days depending on the complexity. Once the rough-in is complete, the pipes must be pressure tested and signed off by a building inspector. The final “trim-out” phase, where we install the faucets, toilets, and fixtures, takes one to two days at the very end. We coordinate our schedule with your general contractor to ensure we are ready as soon as the other trades finish their work.
Delays in the plumbing phase can sometimes occur due to backordered fixtures or unexpected issues found in the existing system. We mitigate these risks by helping you select and order your plumbing hardware early in the project. If we discover old, corroded pipes that need replacement while the walls are open, we communicate the situation clearly. Our goal is to keep your addition project moving forward without compromising the quality of the installation. We work efficiently and maintain a clean job site to minimize the impact on your daily life. Our technicians are experienced in managing the tight timelines of major construction projects. You will receive regular updates on our progress and any changes to the expected completion date. Trust our family-owned team to provide a reliable and professional timeline for your home expansion.
Proper planning and clear communication are the keys to a fast and successful plumbing installation. We review your architectural plans thoroughly before we begin to ensure we have all the necessary materials and permits. Our team arrives prepared with the specialized tools needed for Desert soil and local construction styles. We also handle the coordination of the required inspections with the Phelan building department. This proactive approach prevents the common “waiting game” that can stall many home addition projects. We value your time and work hard to deliver a functional plumbing system on schedule. Rescue Plumbers is dedicated to providing the best value and support to our local community. Let us help you get your new living space ready for use with our expert and timely plumbing services.
For water supply lines, we highly recommend using PEX (cross-linked polyethylene) for its durability, flexibility, and resistance to scale. PEX is less likely to burst in freezing temperatures, which is a significant benefit during cold High Desert winters. It also requires fewer fittings than rigid copper, which reduces the number of potential leak points behind your new walls. PEX does not corrode or develop the “pinhole” leaks that can plague old copper systems over time. It also provides a quieter plumbing system by absorbing the pressure surges that cause water hammer. Our technicians are certified in PEX installation and use high-quality crimping tools for a permanent connection. We believe in using modern materials that provide the best long-term value for our neighbors.
For drainage and waste lines, PVC (polyvinyl chloride) is the industry standard for its strength and smooth internal surface. PVC is resistant to the chemicals found in household cleaners and will not rust or rot like old cast iron or galvanized pipes. The smooth interior prevents the buildup of organic matter, which reduces the frequency of clogs in your new addition. We use heavy-duty Schedule 40 PVC for all waste and vent lines to ensure they can withstand the settling of a new foundation. Our team uses high-quality solvent cements to create “welded” joints that are as strong as the pipe itself. PVC is also lightweight and easy to install, which helps keep the labor costs of your project manageable. Trust our expert team to select and install the best materials for your home’s unique needs.
In some specific applications, such as exposed main lines or certain high-pressure runs, copper may still be the preferred choice. Copper is naturally antimicrobial and provides a very high level of fire resistance compared to plastic piping. We evaluate each project individually to determine where different materials should be used for maximum safety and performance. Our technicians are skilled in both soldering copper and welding plastic, ensuring a professional result regardless of the material. We provide honest recommendations based on the longevity and budget goals for your home expansion. Our non-commission based staff focuses on the technical excellence of the job above all else. Rescue Plumbers is your local partner for expert material selection and professional pipe fitting. Let us help you build a plumbing system that stands the test of time in Phelan.
We strongly recommend installing a dedicated “zone” shut-off valve for any significant home addition. This allows you to turn off the water to the new section of the house without affecting the kitchen or bathrooms in the original structure. This is incredibly helpful if you ever have a leak in the new guest bath or need to perform maintenance on a fixture. Without a separate valve, a small plumbing issue in the addition could leave your entire family without water for hours or days. We place these valves in an accessible but discreet location, such as a closet or a small access panel. This simple addition to your plumbing layout provides immense convenience and peace of mind. We include these safety features as a standard part of our home addition plumbing designs.
Dedicated shut-off valves are also a requirement in many modern building codes for additions that include their own water heating system. This ensures that the new heater can be isolated for service or replacement without disrupting the rest of the home. We also install individual shut-off valves, or “stops,” at every new sink and toilet we install. These allow you to fix a single faucet without having to turn off the water to the entire addition. Our team uses high-quality quarter-turn ball valves that are much more reliable than old-style compression valves. These modern valves are less likely to seize up over time, ensuring they work when you need them most. Our goal is to provide a user-friendly plumbing system that gives you total control over your home’s water.
We also consider the electrical and gas systems for your addition, ensuring they have their own accessible shut-off points. Safety and accessibility are the hallmarks of a professionally designed home expansion project. Our family-owned company treats your home with the same care and foresight we would give our own. We take the time to explain the location and operation of all your new valves once the project is complete. This education is part of our commitment to providing a five-star service experience for every Phelan neighbor. If you ever have an emergency, you will know exactly how to secure your new addition quickly. Rescue Plumbers is dedicated to your safety, comfort, and the long-term functionality of your property. A new bathroom can affect your home’s water pressure if the existing plumbing is not properly integrated or if your main supply is undersized. When you add more fixtures, you are increasing the total demand on the same volume of water coming from the street or well. If two people are showering at the same time in different parts of the house, they may both experience a noticeable drop in flow. We mitigate this by using a “manifold” system or by increasing the size of the main supply headers in your home. This ensures that a large volume of water is available at the start of each run, maintaining consistent pressure. Our technicians perform a pressure and flow test before and after the installation to verify performance. We want your new bathroom to feel like a luxury upgrade, not a compromise on your home’s functionality.
The high mineral content in Phelan water can also contribute to pressure issues over time by creating scale buildup in your pipes. When we add a home addition, we often recommend installing a whole-house water filtration system to protect the new fixtures. This prevents calcium from clogging the small spray holes in your new showerheads and faucets. It also protects the internal valves of your appliances, ensuring they operate at peak efficiency. Our team provides honest feedback on how to maintain your home’s pressure as your household grows. We focus on big-picture solutions that address the root cause of any potential flow issues. Trust our expert team to design a plumbing system that delivers robust pressure to every corner of your new space.
Finally, we check the condition of your home’s main pressure-reducing valve (PRV) during the addition project. A failing PRV can cause pressure to be too high or too low, leading to pipe noise or poor fixture performance. If your PRV is old, replacing it during the addition is a cost-effective way to ensure your entire home is protected. We calibrate the pressure to the ideal residential range of 50 to 60 PSI for maximum comfort and safety. This protects your new investment and prevents the stress that can lead to premature leaks. Our non-commission based staff is dedicated to providing the best technical advice for your Phelan residence. Rescue Plumbers stands behind every home addition project with our professional credentials and commitment to excellence. Let us help you enjoy a perfectly pressurized home with our expert plumbing services.
