The service technician Joe is amazing. He was very professional, informative and effective. Thank you Joe for all your help!
Arrives well dressed, professional , very knowledgeable, gives you all your options, cleans up the area, his work is meticulous . Honest plumber! We have called on them a handful of times since we bought our home 5 years ago. Office staff, Michelle, is sincere and always cheerful. Thank you Rescue Plumbers.
My hot water heater went out two years ago and I had a shoulder replacement although I could put a new one in myself with my shoulder being an issue now again, my garbage disposal went out and I just had back surgery. They were quick to respond and replaced my garbage disposal. I highly recommend these people for doing plumbing work.
Fair price, quick response and friendly service. Joe was great!
Rescue Plumbers did and awesome job today! They installed our water flow regulator. Joe is very thorough with his work, professional, and really wants the customer to be happy. Michelle, in the office, is always happy and gets right on what needs to be done to make sure the work gets done quickly. I highly recommend this company. I have used them several times. 🙂
Outstanding Service and Professionalism! Thank you Michelle and Victor, I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received from Joseph at Rescue Plumbers. From the moment I called, their team was friendly, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. Joseph arrived on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, and explained everything clearly before getting started. The work was done efficiently and to a very high standard — no shortcuts, no mess left behind. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and reliable plumber, I highly recommend Rescue Plumbers I’ll definitely be calling them again for any future plumbing needs!
I would definitely recommend Rescue Plumbers Inc. Joseph did a great job! He came out yesterday gave me a quote for a new hot water heater, and the install was the next day. They went above and beyond. He even explain how to operate and flush the hot water heater. There is now a shut off of valve to turn the water off right at the hot water heater, earthquake straps and a collection pan underneath. That way the water will not go into my home if there's a problem with the hot water heater it will just drain out into the cement floor of the garage. Totally happy with job that was done and don't feel as though I was taken advantage of.
Rescue Plumbing are amazing, honest professionals, Excellent customer service and excellent prices. I highly recommend them. They are the best in the High Desert.

I would highly recommend them to anybody needing plumbing works.

Well worth the call and the service is excellent.
Everyone who works at this company is friendly and knowledgeable. They are dressed professionally and give you good advice. They’ve serviced us for years and we will continue to have them service us. Hopefully, the next time we see the young men, Ethan and Evan t will have gray hair. Meaning they won’t have to come for a while! They all work on our son’s house as well and because his is older and home they’re gonna have to do a complete redo of his plumbing.

True to their word, they followed through on every detail. A testament to their work ethic is their exceptional clean-up. For example, they didn't just sweep our parking lot; they power washed it, ensuring everything was restored to its original condition before the pipe broke. Once again, Rescue Plumbers exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Victor, Michelle, Ethan, Evan, and Joe. We appreciate you.
Excellent service, as always. We have been using Rescue Plumbers for 11yrs, as needed, and have always been happy with their service. Quick, reliable and fairly priced.
Backstory of our issue is needed to explain the gratitude I have for this company. We had 2 leaks in our home that were misdiagnosed by professionals, that would have costs us thousands to repair. Rescue plumbers came and diagnosed the problem almost immediately and fixed the issue the following day with thousands of dollars saved. Integrity is very and to find, especially when companies are trained to take advantage of their customers inexperience. I want to thank Rescue Plumbers for helping us and actually resolving the issue. I recommend this company as a first choice not a last resort to get the job done efficiently.

Faucet Repair Service
A dripping faucet is often the result of a small internal component that has finally surrendered to years of constant use. Most modern faucets rely on a cartridge or a series of O-rings to maintain a watertight seal when the handle is off. Over time, these rubber and plastic parts become brittle or covered in mineral scale, allowing water to seep through. Our technicians start by carefully disassembling the fixture to inspect these internal mechanisms without scratching the exterior finish. We identify the specific part numbers required for your exact model to ensure a perfect, factory-standard fit. Replacing only the worn components is a cost-effective way to get more years out of a high-quality fixture. We also check the valve seat for signs of pitting or corrosion that could interfere with the new seal. Once the parts are swapped, we reassemble the unit and test it under full pressure to ensure the drip is gone.
Low water pressure at a single faucet is a common complaint that usually points to a localized blockage. The aerator at the tip of the spout acts as a screen to catch sediment and mineral deposits from the water lines. In Phelan, the hard water can quickly clog these small holes, resulting in a weak or erratic stream. We remove and clean the aerator or replace it entirely if the scale buildup is too severe to dissolve. If cleaning the tip does not restore flow, we look deeper into the supply lines and the faucet body itself. Sometimes, debris can become lodged in the cartridge, restricting the water before it ever reaches the spout. We flush the lines thoroughly to remove any lingering particles that could cause a recurring problem. Our goal is to restore the robust, even flow you expect every time you turn the handle.
Noisy faucets can produce a variety of distracting sounds, from high-pitched whistles to heavy thumping noises. A whistling sound often indicates a loose washer or a partially obstructed valve that is vibrating as water passes by. We inspect the internal assembly to tighten any loose fasteners and replace any components that have lost their original shape. Banging noises, or water hammer, can be more serious and may require the installation of specialized arrestors. These devices absorb the shock of water stopping suddenly, which protects your pipes from structural stress. Our team has the technical expertise to diagnose the specific frequency and cause of your plumbing noises. We ensure your faucet operates silently so you can use your sink without disturbing the entire household. A quiet faucet is a sign of a healthy, well-balanced plumbing system in your home.
Stiff or hard-to-turn handles are usually caused by a buildup of calcium and magnesium inside the faucet’s moving parts. This mineral “crust” creates friction that makes the handle resist movement and can eventually lead to the handle snapping off entirely. We disassemble the handle assembly and use professional-grade descaling solutions to clear away the grit. If the internal cartridge is physically damaged by the minerals, we replace it with a new, lubricated unit. Our technicians use specialized plumber’s grease to ensure the new parts move smoothly for a long time. We also check for any hidden corrosion that could be eating away at the metal stems inside the fixture. Proper lubrication and cleaning can make an old, stubborn faucet feel like it was installed yesterday. We take pride in the meticulous detail we bring to every mechanical repair project.
Leaks coming from the base of the faucet can be particularly damaging because the water often hides under the sink. This moisture can rot your cabinetry, warp your flooring, and encourage the growth of mold behind your walls. A base leak usually means the seals at the bottom of the faucet body or the supply line connections have failed. We dry the area completely and use specialized tools to identify the exact origin of the moisture. Sometimes the fix is as simple as tightening a mounting nut or replacing a single gasket. Other times, the internal tubes of the faucet may have developed pinhole leaks due to corrosion. We provide an honest assessment of whether a repair will hold or if a replacement is the safer choice. Protecting your home’s structural integrity is our primary focus during these service calls.
Kitchen pull-down sprayers have unique failure points, such as the flexible hose and the switching mechanism in the head. The hose can develop leaks from being pulled and retracted thousands of times, or it may get caught on items under the sink. We inspect the entire length of the hose for frays or pinholes and ensure the counterweight is positioned correctly. If the sprayer head is stuck in one mode, it is usually due to mineral buildup in the tiny diverter valve. We can often soak the head to restore function or replace the individual sprayer unit if necessary. Our team ensures the hose retracts smoothly and locks into place without drooping or leaking. We want your kitchen’s most hardworking tool to perform flawlessly during your meal prep and cleanup. You can rely on our over 20 years of experience to handle these specialized kitchen fixtures.
Commercial faucets in local businesses face much higher usage rates and require specialized parts for heavy-duty performance. We repair high-flow pre-rinse units, sensor-activated taps, and foot-pedal valves for our commercial clients. These systems often involve complex mixing valves and electronic components that require expert troubleshooting. We understand that a broken sink in a restaurant or office can disrupt your entire operation and impact your customers. Our technicians work quickly to source the correct commercial-grade parts and get your facility back in compliance. We also check that the flow rates and temperatures meet local health department and ADA standards. Our family-owned company is dedicated to supporting the local business community with reliable, professional plumbing repairs. We stand behind our work with the credentials and integrity that ScaleSuite and Rescue Plumbers are known for.

Most Common Faucet Repair questions
Deciding when to fix an old faucet or how to stop a recurring leak can lead to many technical questions. We have provided detailed answers to the most frequent inquiries below to help you manage your home’s plumbing.
If a new washer doesn’t stop the drip, the issue likely lies within the valve seat or the faucet body itself. The valve seat is the surface that the washer presses against to stop the flow of water. Over time, mineral deposits or high-pressure water can “wire-draw” or pit this metal surface, creating a tiny channel. Even with a brand-new rubber washer, the water will find its way through these small imperfections and continue to drip. We use a specialized tool called a seat dresser to smooth out the metal and restore a perfectly flat sealing surface. If the seat is removable, we simply replace it with a new one to ensure a watertight closure. Our technicians are trained to look beyond the obvious parts to find the hidden cause of your leak. We ensure that every surface involved in the seal is in pristine condition before we finish.
In some cases, the problem could be an incorrectly sized washer or a damaged O-ring further up the stem. Using a washer that is even slightly too small or too thin will prevent it from creating the necessary compression. We carry a wide assortment of professional-grade gaskets to match the exact specifications of your faucet brand. Our team also checks the stem threads to make sure they are not stripped, which would prevent the handle from tightening enough. If the internal casting of the faucet is cracked due to age or freezing, the water will bypass all seals entirely. This type of structural failure cannot be repaired and requires a complete fixture replacement for your safety. We provide an honest diagnosis so you don’t keep wasting money on temporary fixes that won’t hold. Trust our family-owned team to provide the thorough, technical repair your Phelan home deserves.
Another possibility is that the water pressure in your home is too high for the faucet’s design. Standard residential plumbing fixtures are generally rated for a maximum of eighty pounds per square inch. If your pressure is higher, it can force its way past the seals regardless of how new the washers are. We can test your home’s main water pressure during our visit to see if this is contributing to your recurring leaks. If high pressure is the culprit, we may recommend a pressure-reducing valve to protect all your plumbing fixtures. This systemic approach prevents you from fixing the same leaky faucet over and over again. We focus on long-term solutions that save you water and money in the long run. Rescue Plumbers is dedicated to providing five-star service through expert technical knowledge and honest communication.
Repairing a high-end faucet is almost always the smarter investment if the fixture is less than fifteen years old. Quality brands like Moen, Delta, and Kohler are designed with replaceable internal parts to ensure a long lifespan. Often, a twenty-dollar cartridge and thirty minutes of labor can make a three-hundred-dollar faucet work like new again. High-end faucets are typically made of solid brass and have durable finishes that can withstand years of cleaning. We can source the specific OEM parts needed to maintain your warranty and ensure the best performance. Our technicians have the experience to handle these premium fixtures without damaging the delicate trim or handles. If you love the style and it fits your decor, fixing it is a sustainable and cost-effective choice. We help you evaluate the condition of the metal body to see if a repair is viable.
However, if the faucet has significant external corrosion or the finish is peeling, it might be time for a replacement. Once the protective plating is gone, the underlying metal will continue to degrade and eventually leak through the body. If the cost of the repair parts and labor exceeds half the price of a new, comparable unit, we may suggest an upgrade. Modern faucets also offer better water efficiency and updated features that your old model might lack. For example, you might want to switch to a touchless model for better hygiene in the kitchen. We provide a side-by-side comparison of the costs so you can make an informed decision for your budget. Our non-commission based staff is here to advise you, not to push you into a sale you don’t need. We prioritize the long-term value of your home over a quick fix.
The availability of parts is another major factor in the repair versus replacement debate for Phelan homeowners. Some older or boutique brands may have discontinued the specific cartridges or seals needed for a fix. If we have to hunt for obscure parts or wait weeks for shipping, the downtime might not be worth the effort. We have a vast network of suppliers and can usually determine part availability very quickly during our initial inspection. If the parts are readily available and the faucet body is sound, we will always advocate for the repair. This approach saves you the cost of a new unit and the labor of a full installation. Our family-owned business believes in providing the most practical and honest solution for every client. Trust Rescue Plumbers to treat your home fixtures with the care and expertise they deserve.
Yes, the hard water in the Phelan area is one of the leading causes of premature faucet failure and recurring leaks. Hard water contains high levels of dissolved minerals like calcium and magnesium that precipitate out of the water. These minerals form a hard, white scale known as limescale that coats the internal moving parts of your fixtures. This scale acts like sandpaper, grinding down the rubber seals and scratching the smooth surfaces of your faucet cartridges. Over time, this leads to drips, stiff handles, and even pinhole leaks in the metal components. We often see faucets that should last twenty years failing in less than ten due to severe mineral buildup. Our technicians are experts at identifying this damage and cleaning out the scale during our repair visits. We also provide advice on how to protect your fixtures from future mineral-related damage.
Mineral buildup doesn’t just damage the seals; it can also completely block the flow of water through your faucet. The aerators and spray heads are particularly vulnerable because they have tiny holes that are easily plugged by scale. When the water can’t flow freely, it creates backpressure that puts even more stress on the internal gaskets. This can lead to sudden leaks at the base or from the handle as the water looks for an easier path out. We recommend regular descaling of your aerators to keep the pressure balanced and the flow consistent. If you notice white, crusty deposits around your spout, it is a sign that the minerals are already affecting your plumbing. Our team can perform a deep clean of your fixtures to restore their appearance and function. We take pride in helping our neighbors fight the effects of the High Desert’s unique water conditions.
The best way to prevent hard water damage is to install a whole-home water filtration or softening system. These systems remove or neutralize the minerals before they ever reach your faucets, showerheads, and appliances. This can double or even triple the lifespan of your plumbing fixtures and save you thousands in repair costs. We offer comprehensive water quality testing and can recommend the best filtration solution for your specific needs and budget. Protecting your investment in high-quality faucets starts with addressing the water that flows through them every day. Our team can integrate a filtration system with your existing plumbing during any repair or installation service. We believe in proactive maintenance that keeps your home running efficiently and minimizes future emergencies. Trust Rescue Plumbers to provide the local expertise and honest service you need to protect your Phelan home.
A loose faucet handle is usually caused by a set screw that has vibrated loose or a stripped internal connection. Most handles are held onto the valve stem by a small Allen screw hidden under a decorative cap or at the back. Over months of use, the repeated turning and pulling can cause this screw to slowly back out of its hole. If the handle feels “wobbly,” it is important to tighten it immediately before the metal-on-metal connection becomes damaged. If you continue to use a loose handle, the internal “teeth” or splines can wear down until they no longer grip the stem. Once these splines are stripped, the handle will just spin in circles without turning the water on or off. Our technicians can replace the handle or the entire stem assembly to restore a secure, solid connection. We ensure all fasteners are treated with thread-locker if necessary to prevent the problem from returning.
Corrosion inside the handle assembly can also cause the mounting hardware to fail or seize up completely. In the High Desert environment, moisture and minerals can get trapped under the handle and eat away at the screws. This can make it impossible to tighten the handle or even remove it for a simple repair without breaking it. We use specialized penetrating oils and extraction tools to safely remove corroded hardware without damaging the faucet. If the handle has physically cracked due to stress or age, we can source a matching replacement from the manufacturer. Our team checks the alignment of the handle to ensure it doesn’t rub against the trim or the countertop. A properly mounted handle should feel firm and responsive to every movement you make. We take the time to ensure your faucet feels like a high-quality tool in your hand.
Sometimes a handle falls off because the internal plastic adapter has snapped due to excessive force. Many modern faucets use a plastic “intermediary” part between the metal handle and the metal valve stem to reduce noise. These plastic parts are designed to be the “weak link” that breaks first to protect more expensive components. We carry a wide variety of these handle adapters for all common brands and can swap them out quickly. If you find yourself having to use force to turn your faucet, it is a sign of an underlying mechanical issue. You should never have to fight your plumbing to get a glass of water or wash your hands. Our technicians will find the root cause of the resistance and fix it before your handle breaks again. Trust the Soto family to provide the technical skill and honest advice needed to keep your fixtures in top shape.
A whistling sound is almost always caused by a restricted flow of water through a small opening inside the faucet. This is often the result of a worn-out rubber washer that has become loose and is vibrating like a reed in a musical instrument. As the water passes by the loose rubber, it creates a high-frequency vibration that we hear as a screech or whistle. This usually happens when the faucet is only partially open, as the gap is just the right size to create the noise. We disassemble the faucet and replace any soft or deformed washers with high-quality, heat-resistant versions. We also ensure the screw holding the washer in place is tight and not stripped. Silencing these annoying sounds is one of the most common repairs we perform for our Phelan clients. We don’t consider the job done until your water flows quietly and smoothly.
Another cause for whistling can be a partially closed or defective shut-off valve under the sink. If the valve is not fully open, it creates turbulence in the water line that can resonate through the entire fixture. We check both the hot and cold valves to ensure they are unrestricted and in good working order. If the internal seals of the shut-off valve have failed, they can also vibrate and create similar high-pitched noises. Replacing an old, crusty valve with a modern quarter-turn ball valve is often the best solution for noise and safety. Our technicians also check the supply lines for any kinks or sharp bends that could be causing a restriction. We take a holistic approach to noise problems, looking at every component from the wall to the spout. You can rely on our over 20 years of experience to solve even the most baffling plumbing sounds.
Mineral buildup inside the faucet body can also create narrow passages that cause the water to whistle as it passes through. In Phelan, the hard water can leave behind jagged deposits that disrupt the smooth flow of water and create noise. We use specialized cleaning tools to reach into the internal chambers of the faucet and clear away these obstructions. If the noise is coming from the aerator, simply soaking it in vinegar for an hour usually solves the problem. If the internal casting of the faucet is corroded and creating turbulence, we may recommend a replacement for long-term peace of mind. We provide honest feedback and clear options so you can choose the best path forward for your home. Our family-owned business is dedicated to providing five-star service and real human connection. Rescue Plumbers is your local partner for a quiet and functional plumbing system.
Yes, a single leaky faucet can waste thousands of gallons of water over a year and significantly increase your utility costs. A faucet that drips just once per second can waste over three thousand gallons of water annually. That is equivalent to taking more than one hundred and eighty extra showers every single year. In an area like Phelan, where water conservation is critical and utility rates are a concern, this waste adds up quickly. Many homeowners ignore a small drip, thinking it is just a minor nuisance, but the financial impact is real. Fixing a leak early is much cheaper than paying for thousands of gallons of water you never actually used. Our technicians can provide a fast, affordable repair that pays for itself in just a few months of lower water bills. We help you stay environmentally conscious and financially responsible through our expert services.
Beyond the direct cost of the water, a leak can also cause expensive damage to your home’s structure and fixtures. Constant moisture leads to the growth of mold and mildew, which can be a health hazard and expensive to remediate. It can also cause wood cabinets to swell and rot, eventually requiring a full kitchen or bathroom renovation. Water dripping onto a porcelain sink can leave behind permanent rust or mineral stains that are impossible to scrub away. By addressing a leak promptly, you are protecting the overall value and integrity of your property. We prioritize leak detection and repair as part of our commitment to providing a five-star service to our neighbors. Our family-owned team treats your home with the same care we would give our own. We want to help you avoid the hidden costs of a neglected plumbing system.
A leak is also a sign that a component in your plumbing system has reached the end of its useful life. Ignoring a small drip can lead to a sudden, catastrophic failure where a seal bursts and floods your home. It is much easier and safer to schedule a planned repair than to deal with a 24/7 emergency flood situation. We offer free, no-obligation estimates so you can get the facts about your leak without any initial cost. Our non-commission based staff will tell you exactly what is wrong and how much it will cost to fix it correctly. We believe in transparency and integrity, which is why we have such a strong reputation in the High Desert. Don’t let a small drip turn into a large financial and structural headache for your family. Trust Rescue Plumbers to provide the fast, professional repair you need to stop the waste and protect your home.
A faucet sprayer that is “stuck” is usually caused by a failing diverter valve located inside the faucet body. This small valve is responsible for shifting the water pressure from the spout to the sprayer hose when you press the trigger. Over time, mineral deposits and debris can cause the diverter to become stuck in one position or fail to seal completely. This results in water coming out of both the spout and the sprayer at the same time, or only the sprayer. We can often remove the diverter and clean it to restore its full range of motion. If the rubber seals on the diverter are torn or missing, we replace the entire valve with a new one. This is a common and relatively simple repair that restores the full functionality of your kitchen sink. Our technicians carry parts for most major brands to get the job done in a single visit.
If the sprayer head itself is the problem, the internal switching mechanism may be clogged with hard water scale. You can sometimes fix this by soaking the sprayer head in a bowl of vinegar to dissolve the calcium. If the buttons on the head feel “mushy” or don’t click into place, the internal springs may have failed. In these cases, it is usually more cost-effective to replace the entire sprayer head with a new unit. We ensure the new head is compatible with your existing hose and matches the finish of your faucet perfectly. Our team also checks the hose connection to make sure there are no leaks where the sprayer attaches. We want you to be able to switch between tasks in the kitchen without fighting your plumbing. You can trust our local expertise to find the right solution for your specific faucet model.
The hose itself can also contribute to sprayer issues if it is kinked or restricted under the sink. We check the path of the hose to make sure it can move freely without getting caught on shut-off valves or cleaning supplies. If the hose is old and has lost its flexibility, it can put extra strain on the diverter valve and cause it to fail. We can install a high-quality, braided replacement hose that is designed to last for years of daily use. Our technicians ensure all connections are tight and leak-free so you don’t end up with water in your cabinets. Providing a thorough, multi-point inspection is part of our commitment to a five-star service experience. We take the time to explain the repair and show you how to maintain your sprayer for the long term. Rescue Plumbers is your partner for a functional and efficient kitchen in Phelan.
If your faucet only leaks during use, the problem is typically located in the “packing” or the O-rings around the stem. When the faucet is off, the main seal at the bottom holds back the water pressure. However, when you turn the handle, water flows up the stem and relies on these secondary seals to keep it inside the faucet body. If these O-rings are worn or the packing nut is loose, water will seep out from under the handle and pool on the sink deck. This is a classic sign of a faucet that needs a standard rebuild with new seals and gaskets. We can disassemble the stem and replace all the O-rings to ensure a watertight seal during operation. This simple maintenance task can stop the annoying mess and prevent water from damaging your countertop. Our team uses high-quality, heat-resistant seals that are designed to handle the demands of hot water use.
Sometimes, the leak could be caused by a cracked internal component that only opens up under pressure. As the water flows through the faucet, the pressure can force it through tiny pinholes in the metal or plastic body. These leaks can be difficult to spot because they only happen when the faucet is active. We use specialized lighting and drying techniques to trace the water back to its source during our inspection. If the internal casting is the culprit, we will provide an honest assessment of whether a repair is even possible. For many modern faucets, a cracked body means it is time for a full replacement to ensure the safety of your home. We prioritize your long-term satisfaction and the integrity of your plumbing system in every recommendation we make. Trust the Soto family to provide the technical skill and honest advice you need for a successful repair.
A loose aerator or a clogged spray head can also cause water to back up and leak from the joints of the faucet. If the water can’t get out of the spout fast enough, it will find the weakest point in the assembly to escape. We check for any obstructions in the spout and ensure all components are tightened to the correct specifications. Simply cleaning the aerator can sometimes solve a “mystery leak” that only appears when the water is running. We believe in performing a comprehensive check of the entire fixture to ensure every potential issue is addressed. Our family-owned business is dedicated to providing a five-star service that covers all the bases. Whether it’s a simple tightening or a full rebuild, Rescue Plumbers has you covered in Phelan and the High Desert. We stand behind our work with the credentials and integrity you expect from a local leader.
