Arrives well dressed, professional , very knowledgeable, gives you all your options, cleans up the area, his work is meticulous . Honest plumber! We have called on them a handful of times since we bought our home 5 years ago. Office staff, Michelle, is sincere and always cheerful. Thank you Rescue Plumbers.
My hot water heater went out two years ago and I had a shoulder replacement although I could put a new one in myself with my shoulder being an issue now again, my garbage disposal went out and I just had back surgery. They were quick to respond and replaced my garbage disposal. I highly recommend these people for doing plumbing work.
Fair price, quick response and friendly service. Joe was great!
Rescue Plumbers did and awesome job today! They installed our water flow regulator. Joe is very thorough with his work, professional, and really wants the customer to be happy. Outstanding Service and Professionalism! Thank you Michelle and Victor, I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received from Joseph at Rescue Plumbers. From the moment I called, their team was friendly, responsive, and extremely knowledgeable. Joseph arrived on time, diagnosed the issue quickly, and explained everything clearly before getting started. The work was done efficiently and to a very high standard — no shortcuts, no mess left behind. You can tell they truly care about their customers and take pride in what they do. If you’re looking for a trustworthy, skilled, and reliable plumber, I highly recommend Rescue Plumbers I’ll definitely be calling them again for any future plumbing needs!
I would definitely recommend Rescue Plumbers Inc. Joseph did a great job! He came out yesterday gave me a quote for a new hot water heater, and the install was the next day. They went above and beyond. He even explain how to operate and flush the hot water heater. There is now a shut off of valve to turn the water off right at the hot water heater, earthquake straps and a collection pan underneath. That way the water will not go into my home if there's a problem with the hot water heater it will just drain out into the cement floor of the garage. Totally happy with job that was done and don't feel as though I was taken advantage of.
Rescue Plumbing are amazing, honest professionals, Excellent customer service and excellent prices. I highly recommend them. They are the best in the High Desert.

The total charge was very reasonable and one great thing is that unlike other companies that I dealt with in the past, they did not charge me for their travel time and their time assesing the problem. I would highly recommend them to anybody needing plumbing works.

Well worth the call and the service is excellent.
Everyone who works at this company is friendly and knowledgeable. They are dressed professionally and give you good advice. They’ve serviced us for years and we will continue to have them service us. Hopefully, the next time we see the young men, Ethan and Evan t will have gray hair. Meaning they won’t have to come for a while! They all work on our son’s house as well and because his is older and home they’re gonna have to do a complete redo of his plumbing.
These guys really came to the rescue! Our water heater busted and rescue plumbers did an amazing job. Very professional, nice guys too.

Once again, Rescue Plumbers exceeded our expectations. Thank you, Victor, Michelle, Ethan, Evan, and Joe. We appreciate you.
Excellent service, as always. We have been using Rescue Plumbers for 11yrs, as needed, and have always been happy with their service. Quick, reliable and fairly priced.
Backstory of our issue is needed to explain the gratitude I have for this company. We had 2 leaks in our home that were misdiagnosed by professionals, that would have costs us thousands to repair. Rescue plumbers came and diagnosed the problem almost immediately and fixed the issue the following day with thousands of dollars saved. Integrity is very and to find, especially when companies are trained to take advantage of their customers inexperience. I want to thank Rescue Plumbers for helping us and actually resolving the issue. I recommend this company as a first choice not a last resort to get the job done efficiently.

We Do Tankless Water Heater Inspections
Tankless water heaters should be inspected regularly to ensure safe operation and reliable hot water performance. During a professional tankless water heater inspection, a plumber checks gas lines or electrical connections, water supply lines, venting systems, and internal components for signs of wear, leaks, or mineral buildup. In High Desert areas such as Phelan and Victorville, hard water can cause scale to accumulate inside the heat exchanger, which reduces efficiency and can damage the system over time. A routine inspection helps identify buildup, sensor issues, ignition problems, or venting concerns before they lead to system failure. Rescue Plumbers provides professional tankless water heater inspection services to keep units operating safely and efficiently throughout Phelan and surrounding communities.
Water Heater Inspection Service
A professional water heater inspection involves a methodical review of every mechanical and safety feature on your heating unit. Our technicians start by checking the pilot light assembly or electrical heating elements for signs of carbon buildup or wiring degradation. We verify that the thermostat is calibrated correctly to provide safe water temperatures without wasting energy or risking accidental scalding. Proper venting is also scrutinized to ensure that combustion gases like carbon monoxide are being safely exhausted from your Phelan home. Our team utilizes specialized tools to measure the gas pressure and verify the integrity of the supply lines and shut-off valves. We take pride in our ability to spot small issues that could eventually lead to a total system failure. Every joint and connection is brushed with leak-detection solution to guarantee an airtight seal for your home’s safety.
The anode rod is one of the most important components we review during a standard storage tank water heater inspection. This sacrificial rod is designed to attract corrosive minerals in the water, protecting the steel tank lining from rusting. If the rod is depleted, the tank will begin to corrode from the inside out, leading to pinhole leaks and a full replacement. We remove and inspect the rod to determine if it has enough material left to continue protecting your expensive plumbing equipment. In the High Desert, hard water can consume an anode rod in as little as three to five years. Our technicians provide honest recommendations on when to replace the rod to extend your water heater’s life significantly. We believe in proactive maintenance that saves you thousands of dollars in premature appliance replacement costs.
Testing the Temperature and Pressure (T&P) relief valve is a mandatory safety step in every inspection we perform for our neighbors. This valve is designed to open and release water if the internal pressure or temperature reaches a dangerous level. If the valve is seized due to mineral scale, your water heater effectively becomes a pressure cooker with no safety vent. Our team carefully operates the valve to ensure it opens and closes fully without leaking once the test is finished. We also verify that the discharge pipe is installed correctly and terminates in a safe location outside or at a floor drain. This attention to detail ensures that your family is protected from the risk of a high-pressure tank explosion. Your safety is our absolute priority during every mechanical room visit we make.
Sediment buildup at the bottom of the tank is a major cause of noise and reduced efficiency in Phelan water heaters. As minerals settle, they create a layer of sand that insulates the burner from the water, forcing the unit to run longer. This leads to the popping or rumbling sounds often heard as steam bubbles struggle to rise through the sediment layer. We perform a mini-flush of the tank to check the color and consistency of the water exiting the drain valve. If heavy sediment is present, we recommend a full system flush to restore the unit’s heating speed and lower your bills. This process also prevents the burner from overheating the bottom of the tank and causing structural fatigue. Trust our experts to optimize your heater’s efficiency through thorough cleaning and inspection.
For homes with gas water heaters, we perform a detailed draft test on the flue pipe to ensure proper airflow. A blocked or improperly sloped vent can cause dangerous exhaust to backdraft into your garage or living areas during operation. We check for signs of soot or heat discoloration around the draft hood, which are early warnings of a venting failure. Our technicians also verify that the gas control valve is responding correctly to temperature changes and that the thermocouple is secure. We follow all California Plumbing Code requirements for seismic strapping to ensure your unit stays upright during a tremor. This comprehensive approach to gas safety is a core part of our professional mission at Rescue Plumbers. We want you to feel confident that your fuel-burning appliances are operating within safe tolerances.
Electrical water heater inspections focus on the health of the upper and lower heating elements and the internal thermostats. We use multimeters to check for continuity and ensure that the elements are not grounded out or failing due to scale. Corroded electrical connections inside the access panels can lead to short circuits and an intermittent loss of hot water. Our team cleans the contact points and ensures all wiring is properly insulated and secured away from moisture sources. We also inspect the power supply at the breaker panel to ensure the circuit is not being overloaded by a faulty motor. Providing a safe and reliable electrical connection is essential for the comfort and hygiene of your household. You can rely on our over 20 years of experience to handle these combined technical demands correctly.
Once the water heater inspection is complete, we provide a detailed written report of our findings and the unit’s overall health. We walk you through any recommended repairs and provide clear, upfront pricing for the labor and parts involved. Our team cleans up the workspace completely, removing any tools or debris from your utility area immediately after the visit. We also show you the location of the main water and gas shut-offs so you can act fast in an emergency. Our commitment to real human connection means we are always available to answer your follow-up questions about your system. We take pride in being a trusted plumbing leader in the High Desert for over 20 years of service. Most Common Water Heater Inspection questions
Maintaining your water heater involves technical safety checks and mineral management that lead to many questions about performance and longevity. We have provided detailed answers to the most frequent inquiries below to help you understand the value of a professional inspection.
A popping or rumbling sound is a classic sign of heavy sediment accumulation at the bottom of your water heater tank. As minerals from the Phelan water supply settle, they create a thick layer that traps water underneath. When the burner turns on, the trapped water reaches a boiling point and creates steam bubbles that pop through the sediment. This noise is not just annoying; it indicates that your heater is struggling to transfer heat to the water efficiently. Over time, this overheating can cause the metal at the bottom of the tank to become brittle and eventually fail. We recommend a professional inspection to determine if a full system flush can restore the quiet operation of your unit. Trust the experts at Rescue Plumbers to resolve your noisy plumbing issues with technical skill.
Ignoring these sounds can lead to a significant increase in your monthly energy bills and a shorter lifespan for your heater. The longer the burner has to run to overcome the sediment, the more gas or electricity you are wasting daily. Our technicians can perform a deep flush to remove these abrasive minerals and restore the unit’s original heating speed for you. We also check the condition of the burner assembly to ensure it hasn’t been damaged by the excess heat. Providing an honest diagnostic of your tank’s condition is a hallmark of our family-owned business and our professional ethos. You deserve a home that is quiet and a plumbing system that operates at peak efficiency for years. If your heater is making noise, let us find the scientific cause and provide a permanent fix. Rescue Plumbers is your local partner for expert water heater diagnostics and professional home service.
Proper maintenance can prevent these sediment-related issues from recurring in your High Desert home or business facility. We can recommend water filtration or softening solutions that prevent the minerals from entering your tank in the first place. This protects your investment and ensures that every shower is as hot and reliable as the day of installation. Our non-commission based staff is focused on the long-term value of your plumbing rather than a quick sale. We provide clear, itemized invoices so you know exactly what maintenance steps are being taken for your home. Let us help you protect your water heater with an annual inspection that catches these issues early. Our family-led business has been serving the High Desert for over 20 years and knows local water. Trust the Soto family to provide the professional care and expert service your home deserves to stay functional.
We recommend having your water heater inspected at least once a year to ensure all safety valves and components are working. In Phelan, where the water is particularly hard, an annual check-up is vital for monitoring mineral buildup and corrosion. This frequency allows us to catch small issues like a weeping relief valve or a depleting anode rod before they fail. Many manufacturers also require documented annual maintenance to keep your product’s long-term warranty valid for your home’s protection. Regular inspections extend the life of your unit and provide the peace of mind that your home is safe. Our team can set up a recurring schedule so you never have to worry about missing a check. We prioritize your home’s safety by providing thorough and technically sound audits every single year.
An annual inspection also provides an opportunity to verify that your unit meets the latest California seismic and safety codes. We check that your earthquake straps are secure and that the gas or electrical connections haven’t shifted over time. This proactive approach is especially important for units located in garages or closets where they might be bumped by storage. Our technicians provide a detailed report on the condition of your unit so you can plan for future upgrades. We believe that an informed homeowner is a safer homeowner, and we take the time to answer all questions. Our family-owned business treats your property with the same care and respect we would give our own families always. Trust Rescue Plumbers to provide the professional credentials and expertise needed for a successful safety inspection every year.
If your water heater is more than six years old, you should definitely consider an inspection to evaluate its remaining service life. Most standard tanks fail between eight and twelve years, and the signs of failure are often hidden from the average. We look for microscopic leaks and signs of internal rust that indicate your unit is reaching the end of its life. Identifying these red flags early allows you to schedule a replacement at your convenience rather than during an emergency. We offer free, no-obligation estimates for any repairs or upgrades found during our professional site visits and safety checks. Our non-commission based team is focused on provide accurate information and the most practical path forward for you. Rescue Plumbers is your local leader for expert water heater maintenance and professional plumbing excellence for every facility.
The anode rod is a sacrificial metal component inside your tank that is designed to corrode so the tank doesn’t. It attracts the aggressive elements in your water that would otherwise eat through the steel lining of your water heater. During an inspection, we remove the rod to see how much of the magnesium or aluminum coating is left on the core. If the rod is thin or completely dissolved, your tank is no longer protected and will begin to rust immediately. Replacing a thirty-dollar anode rod is much cheaper than replacing a fifteen-hundred-dollar water heater because the tank failed. We provide honest feedback on the condition of your rod based on the unique chemistry of Phelan water. Trust our experts to protect your home’s most expensive plumbing appliance through meticulous care.
In the High Desert, the high mineral content can cause an anode rod to degrade much faster than in other regions. You might notice a rotten egg smell in your hot water if the rod is reacting poorly with certain bacteria. We can install specialized powered or zinc-alloy rods to eliminate these odors and provide superior protection for your tank lining. Our technicians ensure the new rod is sealed perfectly to prevent any leaks at the top of your water heater. We explain the science behind these components so you understand the vital role they play in your home’s hygiene. Your satisfaction with the longevity and safety of your plumbing is our primary goal during every service call we make. Rescue Plumbers is your local partner for expert water treatment and professional water heater maintenance and care today.
A professionally maintained water heater with a healthy anode rod can last five to eight years longer than a neglected unit. This represents a significant savings for your family and reduces the environmental impact of disposing of failed appliances in Phelan. We take the time to show you the old rod and explain why the replacement is necessary for your system. Our non-commission based staff focuses on the technical integrity of the job rather than upselling you on unnecessary extras. We provide clear, upfront pricing for all maintenance items so you can manage your home budget with total clarity. Let us help you extend the life of your water heater with a professional inspection and anode rod check. Our family-owned business is dedicated to providing real human connection and professional plumbing excellence for every neighbor.
The temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve is the most important safety device on your water heater for your family’s protection. If your heater’s thermostat fails and the water continues to boil, the pressure inside the tank can reach explosive levels. The relief valve is designed to open and release that pressure before the tank itself fails or launches through your roof. If the valve is stuck closed due to mineral scale or rust, you have no safety net in a mechanical. During an inspection, we test the valve to ensure it moves freely and seals perfectly once the test is finished. We prioritize your home’s safety by ensuring this critical component is functional and meeting all modern plumbing safety codes.
A stuck relief valve is a silent hazard because it doesn’t affect the daily performance of your hot water in Phelan. You would never know it was broken until a secondary failure occurred and created a life-threatening plumbing emergency in your home. Our technicians are trained to identify the subtle signs of valve failure, such as mineral crusting or corrosion around the stem. If we find a faulty valve, we provide an immediate and honest recommendation for a professional replacement on the spot today. We never suggest skipping this vital safety check for the sake of speed or a cheaper service call for you. Our family-owned business treats your home with the same care and foresight we would give our own families always. Trust Rescue Plumbers to provide the professional credentials and expertise needed for high-stakes safety valve testing and care.
We also verify that the relief valve’s discharge pipe is made of the correct material and is routed to a safe location. If the valve opens, the water exiting the pipe will be scalding hot and under a significant amount of pressure. We ensure the pipe terminates near the floor or outdoors where it won’t cause injury to anyone standing nearby your unit. This comprehensive approach to safety is what sets a professional plumbing inspection apart from a general handyman’s quick look-over. We take the time to explain the operation of the safety valve so you know what to watch for ourselves. Our non-commission based team is focused on your total home security and your long-term peace of mind today. Rescue Plumbers is your local partner for expert emergency plumbing and professional preventative care for every facility and home.
Yes, a professional inspection includes a detailed search for microscopic leaks and signs of moisture that the average homeowner might miss. We check the top of the tank where the water lines connect and the base where the burner assembly is located. Even a tiny weeping leak at a threaded joint can eventually lead to significant structural damage or mold growth behind walls. We also look for signs of rust or streaks on the exterior of the tank, which point to internal failures. Finding these issues early allows for a simple repair rather than an expensive emergency cleanup and a full restoration. Our technicians prioritize your home’s integrity by catching these plumbing problems before they turn into major structural headaches for you.
Internal leaks often present as thermal expansion issues where the relief valve drips only when the unit is actively heating water. We use specialized pressure gauges to determine if your home needs an expansion tank to protect your pipes and heater. This diagnostic process identifies the hidden stress on your plumbing that leads to sudden bursts and expensive property damage for neighbors. In Phelan, where the temperatures fluctuate wildly, these expansion issues are very common and should be addressed by a professional. We provide clear and honest feedback on the best path forward to secure your home’s water distribution system permanently. Trust our family-owned team to provide the technical expertise and real human connection you need for a safe. Rescue Plumbers stands behind every inspection with our professional credentials and a focus on five-star service quality and care.
A professional inspection also checks the integrity of your water heater’s drain valve, which is a common spot for leaks. Old plastic drain valves can become brittle and crack, or they may fail to close completely after a maintenance flush today. we can replace these with heavy-duty brass valves that provide a much more reliable seal and a faster drainage rate. This simple upgrade protects your flooring from the mystery drips that often go unnoticed in a dark garage or closet. We also verify that the digital control board is not showing any hidden error codes that could signal an issue. An annual inspection ensures that your on-demand system provides the endless hot water you expect without any sudden mechanical interruptions.
