Victor Soto Jr., President of Rescue Plumbers, is a seasoned entrepreneur and licensed California plumber with over 20 years of hands-on experience in the plumbing industry. His journey into business began early, shaped by family influence, persistence, and an unshakable work ethic.
At just 19 years old, Victor aspired to become an entrepreneur. He was deeply inspired by his grandfather, an entrepreneur who trained horses and managed coffee plantations. From him, Victor learned the value of discipline, consistency, and self-reliance—lessons that would guide him throughout his life.
As a young man, Victor immersed himself in direct sales and multi-level marketing ventures, selling vitamins, water filtration systems, and later working door-to-door offering calculators, books, and assorted novelties carried in a duffel bag. Though these ventures were filled with hardship, they laid a powerful foundation: as long as he had the tenacity to approach people, communicate value, and stay consistent, he would never go hungry. Victor pursued this path for over seven years, drawing inspiration from mentors like Bill Gold and Tony Robbins. Those years were marked by hope, struggle, and relentless forward motion—never following the crowd, always believing that consistency makes anything possible.
As his family grew and financial responsibilities increased with the expectation of a third child, Victor made the difficult but necessary decision to transition into employment. For approximately eight years, he worked for companies such as Rent-A-Center and Midway Appliance Store. At Midway, he worked in the warehouse repairing small appliances, where he discovered a passion for working with his hands and solving mechanical problems.
That experience opened the door to a life-changing opportunity: working for a plumbing company under the mentorship of an exceptional tradesman who invested deeply in Victor’s growth. This mentor taught him the fundamentals of plumbing, required him to memorize brand names, and passed down practical knowledge that shaped Victor into a highly skilled plumber. Victor excelled in the field and steadily built his expertise.
In 2008–2009, during the economic crash, Victor was working for Mr. Rooter when the business closed. Faced with another pivotal moment, he chose entrepreneurship once again. With no other option but to move forward, Rescue Plumbers was born.
Victor partnered with his wife, Michelle Soto, who oversaw administration and scheduling, while Victor worked in the field. Together, they built a solid foundation rooted in honesty, hard work, and quality service. Over time, their sons grew up, joined the company, and now help carry the business forward with the same tenacity and drive that built it.
Today, Victor is known as an exceptional problem solver—often described as having “superman eyes” for his ability to diagnose issues others can’t easily see. Rescue Plumbers provides comprehensive plumbing services, from basic repairs and fixture installations to restroom remodels, complex leaks, odor issues, and advanced hydro jetting for residential and commercial properties, especially restaurants.
